As ballots arrive, I want to take a moment to thank everyone I’ve met along the way during this campaign. Mountlake Terrace is full of thoughtful, caring neighbors who want the best for our city. That has made every conversation worthwhile.
Like many of you, I’ve often wondered where the money goes, why things take so long, or why we are not informed sooner about decisions that affect us. My decision to run was my way of stepping off the sidelines and doing something about it. At work, people bring me complex problems to solve. Not because I have all the answers, but because I listen carefully and help find solutions that make sense. I want to bring that same approach to city government.
My priorities include fiscal sustainability, responsible growth, and community engagement. These reflect values we all share, and they align with the City Council’s stated goals. Where I believe I can make a difference is in execution. I ask hard questions, I focus on communication, and I use my background in software engineering and data-driven planning to help the city make smart, sustainable decisions.
Regardless of the outcome, I plan to stay involved. I am continuing my work on the Fiscal Sustainability Taskforce, and I have applied to serve as a Community Ambassador to help residents stay informed and connected.
I know that choosing who to trust with your vote is personal. If I did not catch you at your door, I hope you will come find me at Trunk or Treat or another community event. I am visible, approachable, and here to serve.
Mountlake Terrace is at its best when new voices and longtime residents work together. If you share that belief, I would be honored to earn your vote for City Council Position 3.
